Obsessing in soulmate and twin flame relationships can easily take root due to the strong connection between souls.
When people encounter a soulmate or twin flame, there’s nothing else they think about. The feelings they have for their partner take over their moods, their minds and their lives. All they want to do is spend as much time as possible with them. For most people, meeting a twin flame or soulmate is exhilarating as they start their journey together.
OBSESSING ~ THE DARK SIDE OF A SOUL CONNECTION
It’s great for someone to be in love and preoccupied with their relationship. When your thoughts and emotions towards your soulmate or twin flame are positive, your mood and feelings will be positive too.
But what happens when you’re separated them or are having problems with them? Here is where the negative side of obsession comes in. Obsessing can become a form of self-torture and one may experience a true dark night of the soul.
Will they ever come back?
Will they ever change? Are they moving on?
Have they forgotten about me?
Are they with someone else? Do they still love me? Are we really soulmates or twin flames?
These are the types of questions couples can obsess about when they separate or have a bad argument.
These thoughts can lead to obsessive behaviors. So they may text constantly, getting more and more upset when their texts or calls aren’t returned. This can lead to stalking via social media or driving by their workplace, favorite hangouts or home.
Does any of this lead to anything good? No. It does not.
This kind of obsessive thinking just winds a person up and severely impairs their judgment. Decisions made in this mindset can lead to someone doing or saying something that makes things worse.
GETTING A BETTER PERSPECTIVE
Obsessing needs to be put into perspective. Obsessing gets you nowhere. It’s guessing and it gives you no real answers and no real clues. The more you obsess about how they’re feeling, only causes you more anxiety. The more you obsess about your spiritual partner’s thoughts, the more worst-case scenarios you can create.
Obsession is torturing yourself with little or no reward.
Don’t let your obsession for your soulmate or twin flame get out of hand. Try to get it under control. Stop talking about them to your friends. Focus on your life, not just what’s going on with them. Don’t stay alone, be with friends, family and anyone who is supportive.
Challenge your mind with work or anything else that makes you focus. It may be difficult at first, but if your mind is busy with other things, your obsession will dissipate.
I like your perspective on this.
Easier said than done lol but I will try it!
